We were sorry to hear your father was taken from you at such a young age.
Yes, we do say eat whole real foods and we do think it is better than eating too much processed. But it by no means gives any certainty to our life expectancy. We know of parents who have lost loved ones at a young age, their child just six years of age.
We do not know what lays ahead of us all we can do is do our best to keep as healthy as possible.

Both Eddie and I (and all at the low carb team) thank you again for your continued support in the Low Carb Diabetic Blog.

Have a good weekend.

Warmest regards

Eddie and JanLowcarb team memberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07961199165290289611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2600659484694637338.post-56175430466831220112015-05-01T19:17:25.310+01:002015-05-01T19:17:25.310+01:00Ted

He was not fat, he didn't smoke or drink, all our food was cooked at home. It is the reason I am annoyed by the phrase "just eat the real food!" and by using leanness as a prove of a good health.
My father was an unusually gifted person, but a pessimist.Galina L.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09156132815504279615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2600659484694637338.post-32704948021006337122015-05-01T03:02:04.477+01:002015-05-01T03:02:04.477+01:00The Greatest Generation!!! I bet you can just see your dad listening to this favorite song of his. I'm sorry to hear that he passed away from diabetes and it was painful in the last years. Like many he lied about his age, and the military turned a blind eye, they needed all the men they could get.

One thing I remember him talking about was about his time in India. My Father came from a very humble and poor background, he thought he knew what poverty was all about until India.

In India he was humbled, when people who were poor beyond his belief, offered to share their food with him.

That set in me for life, a hatred of racism.

Regards EddieLowcarb team memberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07961199165290289611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2600659484694637338.post-12946839336850822162015-04-30T21:58:41.430+01:002015-04-30T21:58:41.430+01:00I'm sorry for you loss.
