The World Is Getting Smaller

Surreal happenings today! This morning Julie was in the kitchen video-conferencing through Skype with her sister in Malacca, Malaysia. I say video-conferencing. Her sister was actually watching a Cantonese movie on a large screen TV. She has her laptop camera pointing at the TV and Julie was watching the movie with the volume loud enough for the rising tones of the actors’ Cantonese dialogue to be clearly heard upstairs in my study. A moment came and I thought I heard the front doorbells chime. I went down the stairs but nobody at the front door and yet I could still hear the bells chime? Walking into the kitchen, I told Julie to tell her sister that there was somebody at their front gate pressing the bell!!!
