Diabetes : We knew how to reverse type two diabetes in 1917
Diabetes is now a run away train. It’s out of control, around the world, hundreds of millions of people have joined the club, no one wants to join. The epidemics of type two diabetes, and it’s often linked obesity, are going to get far worse the experts tell us. Big pharma knows this, big pharma can hear the big cash register ringing. My opinion on big pharma, and many of it’s drugs is well known. Many have proved to be next to useless, and others banned for killing people. There was a time when no drugs were available, for the control of diabetes, and many type two diabetics lived long and active lives. Many feel Dr. Atkins was the start of the low carb diet, but low carbing for improved health goes back to the days of William Banting.
The link below will take you to a free of charge read on line digitalized book, on the best diet for diabetics, before big pharma loaded the dice, and diet and exercise kept people healthy, and in control of their diabetes. I urge you to take a look. I have left the book open at pages 12 and 13, foods of great value and foods to avoid. Many will not be surprised to see, nothing has changed in one hundred years, in the best way to control type two diabetes. Diet and exercise and nil/minimal medication.

Hello William, thanks for your comment.
I believe this book may have been referring to milk chocolate, not recommended for diabetics.
However, if you are diabetic (or even non diabetic) a square of dark chocolate ( 70-85% cocoa) can fit in with LCHF menu plans, it also has many health benefits ... read more here

I may just enjoy a square later ...
Of course any reader who is reading this, and is a diabetic, if you are not sure how certain foods may affect your blood sugars, test is best, i.e. use your meter.
All the best Jan
This is such great article ... We have Diabetes on my Husband side and a few of the children have now been diagnosed... Such an informative read..THANK YOU ... It’s “Unbelievable” that they had the solution in 1917 ...I truly enjoyed your posting...Hugs
They already knew the secret then! Unfortunately and sadly I think a lot of people thinks it's easier to pop a pill than cook and eat healthy food.
Thanks for the lovely old cookbook too.
Eddie, it's so sad that diabetes is treated as a Big Business! Pinning.
I just found out my friend has type 2 diabetes now, i will have to share this with her
I remember the diabetic clinic at the hospital was always full every time they have one and apparently still is, and then private clinics also so I'm told - so it is out of control down here too..
Pills are for many people obviously an easier alternative. Hugs, Valerie
Hoping for the day they will find a cure.
It is a huge thing. In our country there are about 5 to 10 daily amputations due to the diabetes and lack of care.
Belas sugestões para quem tem diabetes.
Um abraço e boa semana.

How interesting. It's sad that so many ignore the information and don't change their diets enough. Balance...common sense...we could do better! Thanks for the link!
Oh my...that looks YUMMY and sounds amazing! Thanks for sharing.
With all the advancements the world has made in health care, sometimes the older ways were still more effective. Changing diet is a much better route to go, but people would rather have a magic pill to take care of their ailments instead of putting the effort forth to change bad eating habits. I fall into the category of not eating as well as I should, and it has definitely affected my health. I'm trying to get better though.
thanks - ...good to know these foods.
Ooh, that is interesting to know how they knew how to cope with it so long ago!!
This is true, I hear you about big pharma!
This is so interesting and so sad!!!
