This we call progress!

Ever wondered how many years you worked hard to buy junk you never ever used or never ever needed? I have. The irony is, you don't work it out until you have acquired the junk. Most of which ended up on a landfill site or the local charity shops. Still, we can console ourselves we kept the economy going, we played our part in the great scheme of things. How much junk have you acquired?

I think about that all the time. When we are working, we spend every cent we make acquiring all the things we always wanted. And then we get older.....lol! Good post! Nice way for me to start the day. hahahaha!

Way too much junk...way too much. We've done some serious down sizing...more to go but I do have to say that at least half our 'stuff' has been handed down from family over the years so we didn't 'spend' that much on it. Sadly, it's the hardest stuff to let go of.

There quite a bit of studies why we buy items. I have way to much items and I'm slowly down sizing.

Way too much... in the past! It's minimal and recycle all the way now, so much better ☺

Way, way too much junk, but I have started being smarter about my purchases and not getting things unless I actually need them. Now I just need to get rid of some stuff I already have.

Way too much junk here. With an avid junk collection still working on it. Sigh.

We just moved and have gotten rid of a lot of that junk. : ) It's a good feeling.

A terrible cycle. I haven't spent much on useless items the last few years. I have bought almost all my clothes at thrift stores and haven't purchased many frivolous items. I have even been doing my best to shop in places with jars for filling so there's less waste. Still- I do create garbage and over my life I am sure the pile is worse than I imagine.

I've acquired a storage shed full of junk. We downsized to a smaller home, and I can't even remember what is in the storage shed any more...

in my younger days raising a family - way too much unneeded stuff. After the big move - we downsized and i rarely buy anything these days except a new pair or jeans and a tshirt and groceries. that's about it for us. But we do enjoy going to a local bar and grill and having a few beers once a week - that's our fun spending frivolous money time.lol...but then, comes birthdays and christmas for nine grandkids..yikes - and we get the feeling whatever we give them is going to end up in garage sell in a year for a quarter.
