I'm sure you've heard / know about the book 'A tale of two cities' which is an Historical novel written by Charles Dickens in 1859 … well with apologies to Dickens … I'm telling a story about 'A tale of two seasons and two soups' - one for winter, the other for summer. Why am I doing this I hear you ask? Well, this blog is read in many countries world-wide, and some are experiencing cold weather and may enjoy a nice steaming hot bowl of soup, while for others a bowl of hot soup would be the last thing on their mind (Australia for instance are having a heat-wave) but perhaps a soup for summer days may be welcomed … read on and see what you think!

Gazpacho Soup - A taste of Andalucia - Cooling on Summer Days
Gazpacho is a soup made of raw vegetables and served cold, usually with a tomato base, originating in the southern Spanish region of Andalucia, which some spell with a c, while others use an s ! This soup can be great for a hot day when making a lunch that takes just a few minutes is exactly what you want.

What a great idea to cater to worldwide climate! Both soups look delicious, warm soup for me in Toronto!
mmmm
Muy buenas las sopas, la de tomate me encanta y el gazpacho también. Feliz semana.
Soup is our Winter go to. I have just made a tomato soup with onion and red pepper, delicious.
Oh I love soup for lunch on a cold winter day! Gazpacho is definitely refreshing in the summer.
...I've never been a fan of cold soup.
Oh- I have soup on the mind for today, too! I always see great recipes here!!!
I like the gazpacho any time, I order when ever it is on the menu
Thank you.
Gazpacho does indeed sound as if it will hit the mark today.
I love soups especially during the winter. Summer is salad time for me.
The tomato soup looks good and I've never had the other kind. Some day if I'm in a restaurant that has it I might sample some. Have a good week!!

Very good soups, tomato I love and gazpacho too. Happy week.
Soup is so heart warming for us during the winter chills. Thank you for including such lovely recipes. ♥
YUM! Soup is one of my very favorite things to eat in the winter. Not that we don't enjoy it in the summer, too, but then, it's mostly crab soup made with blue crabs and all the fresh veggies I can find. I've never tried cold soups, though. Maybe I should... :)
Have a super week!
This tomato soup is another must-make, especially in this cold weather, and also when we have lots of home-grown tomatoes. Thanks again for a great recipe and reminder of a good soup. .
Yum. I made soup today. Just can't beat it. Good eats.
Tomato soup, one of my favorites.
Clever - if the facilities were better here I could now go for the cold one (will have a fab burger instead) and a hot one once we sadly will be back!
Very nice - like the idea of cold soups.
Both yummy soups!
I love both soups.
They are both so tasteful beauty, excellent.
Hello, both soups sound delicious! Thanks for sharing.
Have a happy day and week ahead,
Eileen
Like the look of that tomato soup, especially as it's snowing heavily at the moment (though I note you originally posted the recipe in the summer!).
Great idea ~ wonderful hot soup for us in Winter and another for those in Summer ~ enjoying ^_^

I'm still melting from the heat and humidity here...so I've not been doing any cooking. My stove has forgotten its real purpose, I think.
Admittedly I've never been that fond of soups.
I love soups--but not cold soups, especially in winter... The Tomato one looks yummy!!!!!!
It's very cold here since we are in the midst of an arctic front bringing VERY LOW temps to our area... Brrrrr... Perfect weather for some soup..
Hugs,
Betsy
Soup, the hot kind, is on the menu here tonight. Both of the ones you shared sound delicious. Cold gazpacho is a delight in summer.
Wow Jan, thank you!!!! I love how you put this post together too! Very cute! LOL!
