  6. Yes, my giant Tea-Rex cup is back in use! I bought "him" in 43C in Madeley/Perth for our cold half of the year.

  10. That second photo gives off such a cozy vibe and brings a smile to my face. My first drink of the day is coffee. There will be several cups of tea throughout the rest of the day :-) There's nothing quite like a good cup of hot strong black tea on a cool day. I hope your weekend is lovely, Jan.

  11. I just love the picture with the smiling mug — so cute! I have a weakness for mugs in general, especially coffee mugs. I really have to resist the temptation of buying them in every thrift store, because they don’t fit in the cupboard anymore.

I even listed some on a Dutch secondhand site called Vintage, and I noticed the Holly Hobbie mugs are really popular — so there are definitely more mug lovers out there! Anyway, it’s the weekend, Saturday, the sun is peeking out here a little. I’m sitting behind my laptop while my husband is running a race through the forest, and I truly hope it stays dry for him.

    Warm greetings from the Netherlands
    Aritha.

  12. The chrysanthemums are such a gorgeous colour. I love the smell of them, too, though I know some people find it distasteful.

  20. Tea is also my first cup in the morning. My parental grandfather was Welsh, and he taught me to enjoy my hot tea with milk in it. Now I drink it with or without milk.
    Have a lovely weekend, Jan.

  21. Happy Weekend to you too, I don't drink coffee or hot tea, so it is just water in the morning and in the afternoon I have some cold black tea :)
We are in the 90's right now, so hoping for some cooler weather and for it to feel like fall here.

  24. Two lovely images! I have to admit, it’s coffee for me first thing in the morning. Quite shocking considering I grew up in a family where the kettle was on the hob all day and the teapot was always needing to be replenished. Happy weekend to you Jan, and all the best :)

  25. That happy cup would make me smile every time I used it. It's just so cheery.
I don't drink tea or coffee any more but whatever I am drinking, that cup would brighten my day.

  26. you too!! our "locals summers" has begun and it has been wonderful to have the area back to just us locals. the beaches lack the usual crowds and the traffic is so much lighter. i love where i live, it just gets very crowded during the summer!! we are having great weather as well!!
