Perhaps it's just me... or do you also find that as the calendar tells us it's soon to be September, something magical begins to happen? In the Northern Hemisphere the colours begin to alter and take on their Autumnal hues, whereas in the Southern Hemisphere spring flowers may begin to appear. The seasons offer so much variety, and for me my two favourite ones are Autumn and Spring.
Of course, that doesn't mean that I dislike Summer and Winter, although I have not enjoyed the very hot weather and the wild fires many have experienced this summer and rumours abound that with the strange weather patterns we may get extra snow this winter! Time will tell!
For the time being enjoy the remainder of August.
All the best Jan

It seems that summer always buzzes by so quickly! I'm not ready for the "ber" months yet!
ReplyDeleteThese are Shari's favourite months.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the cooler weather.
ReplyDeleteHi Jan, I love ❤️ the 'ber' months. I do love Winter and the snow ❄️ I do not like the ice, though. The temperature is usually milder when it snows, meaning less chance of ice.
ReplyDeleteI am so ready for the "Ber" months. Unfortunately, all my Fall decorations are buried in the back of the storage unit and I'm not able to lift things out myself anymore, so the kids will have to come and dig them out for me. Not going to do the "big" decorating I usually do...But enough to feel like FALL.
ReplyDeleteFalta poco para acabar el año. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDelete...of all of the BER months, October is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI'm not ready for cold weather yet!! It lasts a long time here! :)
ReplyDeleteThe 'ber' months are my favourites, but I also love summer. We've had a lovely one this year. No rain at all, which was bad for the wildfires, but mostly pleasant temperatures. I always feel a bit nostalgic as August ends.
ReplyDeleteI really like the bear months, especially the first 3. And December too, but sometimes it's very wintery. I just can't believe we are approaching them so quickly. Happy new week to you!
ReplyDeleteYes the ber months are almost here sigh
ReplyDeleteI'm always ready for the "ber" months. They are my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI love the "ber" months! I hadn't changed out the decor from spring/summer yet and one day last week I just couldn't handle looking at spring/summer any longer and put it all away and started putting out bits of autumn decor. My two favorite seasons of the year are also spring and autumn. I'm still in the preserving produce mode here but I'm hoping that by the end of August I will be able to pack the canners away. As long as I am canning and freezing produce in my mind it's still summer, but my heart is happy when it changes to autumn. xx
ReplyDeleteJan, I hope there won't be too much snow, since here in Slovenia they aren't promising any, they say it will be a mild winter... let's be surprised :))
ReplyDeleteI can certainly understand you, dear Jan; I love this time of year too, and I'm curious to see what the weather will be like!
ReplyDeleteI wish you a wonderful end to August, hugs Elke
I share your appreciation of the approaching “Ber” months, whose changing seasons bring a sense of anticipation, beauty, and quiet renewal
ReplyDeleteNever heard them called 'Ber' months Jan. Waiting patiently for spring here.
ReplyDeleteWe had way too few warm days, it was a sad Summer. Right now 13C... To imagine the real cold is on the way, oh, no....
ReplyDeleteI am ready to leave the heat of summer behind. Bring on the first frost!
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, I agree with you. The 'ber' months are very special, full of promise and delight.
ReplyDeleteI'm never ready for Summer to be over, but there are some enjoyable things to look forward to in the BER months.
ReplyDeleteThey are. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI used to love Summer...not anymore! When you're 30 you love it hot...75? Lolol...not so much!
ReplyDeleteWaiting for FALL!! lol
hugs
Donna
I do not want to see the Ber months. That means Winter is coming and Winter lasts a long 11 months
ReplyDeleteSoon be Christmas.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
The -ber moths are my favorites! I look forward to them every year.
ReplyDeleteThey are getting closer, but our weather hasn't got the memo. X
ReplyDeleteWinter is long here...very long, so I adore summer and fall, but the 'ber' months are filled with fun celebrations!!
ReplyDeleteSince we have had NO summer here this year, I'm ready for fall and winter.
ReplyDeleteYes it does, I can already feel the changes. It's like someone has automatically flipped a switch :) Like you, my two favorite months are Autumn and Spring. I don't mind winter either but the heat and humidity of the summer literally makes me feel awful. So, I wish you a happy end to August, and a marvelous September/Autumn :) All the best, Denise
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI do not mind the fall weather, it is nice to see the colorful Autumn leaves. I do not like winter at all. Take care, enjoy your day!
They ARE coming -- and I am so NOT ready!
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how the summer has just flown by that is for sure. Autumn is my favorite and Spring isn't far behind. I too did not enjoy this HOT summer as much but also sad it has come to an end.
