Quote of the week

"Not sure how you could even start to do it on a mixed insulin regime as (as I understand it) you have to eat enough carbs to match the insulin you take rather than the other way round." Sid Bonkers

Sorry to sound so harsh, I am just sick of all the Newcastle Study type diets, I have no doubt they work as I have tried one in the past but they do not last and they will not cure diabetes.

I'm just getting bored with this now
    To which another poster replied:

Sid, If you are "getting bored with this" then just try not reading the posts
Whilst we realise that we cannot "cure" diabetes, we can at least reverse/reduce the symptoms
    S*d W*nker retorted:

I have as much right to read this forum as anyone else so please dont tell me what I should or shouldnt do,
(telling others what to do is S*d's perogative obviously!) I am also entitled to my opinion and my opinion is that diabetes can not be cured (NOT DISPUTED)and that obese/overweight T2's can gain better control by losing weight.

IMHO S*d W*nker is again snapping and snarling like the cornered rat he is!

Sid Bonkers wrote “And what scientific research was this then? I wasn’t aware that Taubes was a doctor involved in research!!!”

Read his book, and you'll find out.

Sid Bonkers wrote “No Stephen, why would I, I tend to believe what the medical profession believe rather than what some maverick with a 'feory' says ...”

OK, I understand. How can you say you don't like his "feories", when you don't know what they are?

  3. Anonymous on Carbo’s blog is accusing that I am the sinful Eddie!

Mathew 4: 18-19 Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers… They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men”

Funny that, although a HUGE number of users were banned/left/run out of town, these arguments have returned? Could it be that the people that were banned/left, weren't the problem after all?"

    Sid Bonkers wrote:

"No, its because all those members that were banned for causing trouble are all back again using different usernames"

Of course nothing came of it so we can conclude Patch was correct in what he stated.
