Figures revealing children with levels of body fat far above what is
considered a healthy range have outlined the scale of England's
childhood obesity problem. NHS figures reveal a 10-year-old girl weighing more than 24 stone and an 11-year-old boy weighing 23 stone. teenagers admitted to hospital with obesity-related conditions in the
past decade, according to a study by a team at Imperial College London,
published in June.
