McDonald's suffers another dip in same-store sales !

McDonald's CEO Don Thompson found himself under increasing pressure on Tuesday to turn the burger behemoth around – and soon – as the company reported a 3.7% decline in global same-store sales.

That ranks as the company's worst global same-store sales results in more than a decade. McDonald's last posted a 3.7% decline in sales at stores open at least one year way back in March, 2003, the company says.

Ground zero for the most recent damage was not the U.S. but the Asia-Pacific region, where same-store sales collapsed 14.5% due to a high-profile food safety scandal that involved the repackaging of expired meat in China by a major supplier. The scandal impacted other fast-food companies as well.

"We believe that McDonald's has lost credibility with the consumer in that region," said Sterne Agee analyst Lynne Collier, in a note to investors.

Could it be people are getting the message ? real food is making a come back !
