Not long ago extreme fat restriction was considered the healthiest approach to eating ( Denis Minger's presentation about surprising benefits of a rice diet on a Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFfK27B_qZY resulted in multiple discussions in a biosphere). We judge the information we receive through the lenses of own experience, and nothing could make me to think that eating mostly refined carbs , or even mostly unrefined carbs, is a good idea, for me her presentation pointed into the direction of the riskiness carbohydrates/fats combination, especially for the people with compromised metabolism and eating everything in moderation doesn't cause much of an improvement when it is needed, so we have to choose what clearly prevails in our diets - fats OR carbohydrates.
