Lemon Cheesecake Caketail : Err Cocktail !

Well, it is Friday ... and the weekend will soon be here! When I saw those lovely flowers, and the colour, in the above photographs it caught my eye. So yes I thought, why not share this rather interesting and different 'recipe' for a Lemon Cheesecake - Caketail ...

This type of drink may not be suitable for all, and as always the choice is yours dear reader. However, if you may wish to try out Lucy's idea, here is her recipe, and a link to her blog is also given below.

Cheers !

"Ingredients:
Brandy (to give warmth and depth for the base)
Limoncello (for the creamy lemon filling)
Cava/Prosecco - I used a supermarket brut (for the lighter refreshing after taste)
Angostura Bitters
Candied lemon peel (to garnish)

Method:
Pour a tiny splash of brandy in the bottom of your glass. Add a measure of limoncello and using a flat based cocktail spoon, pour a layer of cava onto the base of the cocktail. Hold the base of the spoon and pour the cava down the long handle, raising the spoon as you pour.

I then added a splash of bitters (Because we stick them in everything!) and a garnish of candied lemon peel.

Creamy but refreshing! "

Words, and idea above are Lucy's - see more information here
