Cakes Decisions For Easter : All Low Carb Using Almond Flour

You don't have to eat a lot of sugar / carbs when choosing cakes.
Take these suggestions, they are all made using almond flour, so perhaps we can all enjoy a slice.
The only problem, which one will you choose.
Decisions, decisions ...

Will it be a slice of black forest gateaux
see recipe here

or a piece of coffee and walnut cake

see recipe here

or how about a refreshing piece of lemon sponge cake

see recipe here

although I did see some tasty strawberries so I could make one of these

strawberry sponge cake -mmmm Yum!

see recipe here

So I wonder which one will you choose?

All the best Jan

  3. No prizes for guessing what my choice will be.
It will certainly be the low carb strawberry cake please. lol.
My daughters love this cake to.

I am still here and still look at the blog from time to time. Looking back when I was first diagnosed with diabetes it was my wife who found out more about the low carb diabetic and since low carbing I haven't looked back. My figures went to and remain that of a non diabetic and I am indeed grateful for the better health and energy. I enjoy spending time with family and feeling good.

    Happy Easter to all

  10. "I always try to get spring lamb in for easter!" said the butcher. "It beats easter eggs!" I agreed.

Oh dear, I ate the chops and half the liver already. What am I going to do now?

There used to be an old advert for those who liked to eat cream cakes ... and the sentence always used was 'naughty but nice'
These cakes featured are made using almond flour so are not so high in carbs as some more 'traditional' cakes would be, so maybe you can have more than one slice!!!
Although a great low carb dinner followed by a slice of cake is just as delicious...

    Have a great Easter weekend

    All the best Jan
