Now that was fun!

A day out is always enjoyable isn't it, especially if you are fortunate to have a nice sunny day. You can stop looking at your watch, ignore the phone, forget the computer and just relax! Every now and again we take time out to visit and enjoy our favourite places, but we especially enjoy time spent visiting family and seeing our five grandchildren, it's always fun.

Just recently we were visiting these two, pictured here in our 'little red sports car'. We were fortunate to have some lovely sunshine ... and well the roof just had to come down. So with safety and child booster seat fitted, seat belts on, they both enjoyed their ride ...

Later in the day it was time to enjoy a nice meal together.
These two like their vegetables like peas, carrots and broccoli,
they also like chicken ... so you can probably guess what we had!
Some-days can just be such fun!

Broccoli is a great tasting low carb vegetable - read more about it here

I've said it before, but I'll say it again ... we love them to bits!

They are very good eaters and their mum, and dad, have introduced them to good home cooking, using some great fresh ingredients, right from the start!

Yes, they are good eaters, and tuck into some great whole fresh foods - treats are kept to a minimum.

  18. Your grandkids look like they are having fun in your fiery red car, Jan. The first car that I learned to drive with was my sister's red fiat. Those were fun and happy times for sure.

  20. Lovely photos, they look to be having fun. It's so good to see children eat their veggies, I had so much trouble with Daniel growing up, such a fussy eater, I couldn't believe my luck when Eleanor came along and would eat whatever was put in front of her. They say it's how they're brought up, so how come two children in the same household are completely different?

  23. Hi Sheri - thank you for your comment.
The car I learned to drive in was bright yellow! Cars in our lives ... can produce many happy memories, as they take us, and our families, around to different places.
The grand-kids certainly enjoyed their ride.

Thanks so much for your comment ... these two certainly enjoyed their ride.
We love spending time with them.

Brothers, sisters are so often different in many ways aren't they, from personality, to the like or dislike of sport to food choices. I've found it best to go with the flow ... so to speak ... and play to their strengths.

    All the best Jan
