It was either a vote against immigration levels or a vote against austerity, the anti Corbyn rebels should work out which.If the former they should vote in Gisela Stuart or Kate Hoey, if the latter they should stick with Corbyn. Remember why Corbyn got elected - just after the Tories got back in the vast majority of the parliamentary Labour Party voted with the government on welfare cuts. All you could hear from the Blairite MPs was "aspiration" on TV interviews," let's not try and reduce poverty but encourage individuals to try and escape it".
