Would you take flying lessons from a Kamikaze pilot?

The BDA tell me these people are the ideal weight for their shape. Well, they are the experts, what do I know! Seriously, the hardest thing about being a low carber, is keeping a straight face, when a morbidly obese dietitian tells me my diet is unhealthy and dangerous. Now this would be funny, if so many people were not going to an early grave, following the average dietitians advice re. diet.

  1. I would be wary of any healthcare professional who is advising me if they themselves don't seem fit and well. Also, it's always good to weigh any advise against the latest research.

  3. Wow, maybe I need to change docs... Mine did tell me that I'd have to want to get to an ideal BMI of 21 through a strict low carb diet.

  5. Once heard a lot of whispering and sarcasm amongst a patient group whilst a morbidly obese dietitian gave a cardiac rehabilitation talk..! Do as I say... Not as I do, comes to mind!
