The hidden side of clinical trials | Sile Lane | TEDxMadrid

Around half of the clinical trials done on medicines we use today are not published. A tragic truth that needs to be changed, to help doctors do their job properly and to not betray the trust of all those who have volunteered to be part of those trials.Find out more about the AllTrials campaign ad references for claims made in the talk at www.AllTrials.net. In particular, read more about the claim that around half of all clinical trials on the medicines we use today have not published results here:

  1. I am so sorry to hear this. Not only does it mean that the doctors are not properly informed, it means the end users (us) are also operating in a vaccuum.

  4. well, they should be...and i thought they were. but clinical trails don't tell the entire story. and can be misleading themselves as ALL incidents must be documented and may not have anything to do with the medication!! or so i thought....

  6. that just is crazy to me that there are drugs killing people and they are not publishing those results, I understand how a drug can work ok in one person and not in another, but I feel everyone has a right to know what the side effects can be and percentage of people that had bad reactions to the drugs no matter what they were.
