Eating bogies is good for teeth and overall health, scientists conclude!

Please note this is not a spoof.

One thing that never ceases to amaze me, is the number of screwballs commenting on health. All over the world, Universities and research outfits, are employing countless people, to output a tidal wave of useless information. Take this example from the Telegraph here.

"Scientists at a number of universities including Harvard and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) say parents should not discourage their children from picking their noses because they contain 'a rich reservoir of good bacteria.'

Eating snot can also prevent bacteria from sticking to teeth, according to the article published in the journal of the American Society for Microbiology.

The findings even suggest snot could defend against respiratory infections, stomach ulcers and even HIV.

The researchers are even working on a synthetic mucus toothpaste and chewing gum to harness the dental benefits of bogies"

Seriously, what is the take away here? If you engage in dangerous unprotected sexual practises, are  a chronic alcoholic, or chain smoker, eat lots of snot. Sounds charming don't you think. As a person who prides himself in spotting a profitable gap in the marketplace, I am proudly launching a new wonder cure all. All I need, is a high profile dietitian to endorse my life saving health product, and I'v cracked it. Jan! get Sian or Carrie on the phone.
