  3. This was quite interesting. And sugar is written in so many ways on nutritional labels, too. It's important to educated oneself and know what other food ingredients are really just sugar in disguise.

  4. Makes the point very well! I was off sugar for years but it was so hard, especially when I moved to the country where there was limited choice in groceries. But I really need to do it again.

  5. I'm reminded of my father who ate his chops and steaks with the fat on, was never overweight or ill until his lung cancer from smoking. my mother, who cut the fat off all her food and had a sweet tooth, became diabetic in her late thirties.

  7. I agree but personally i need little bit of sweetness after each meal and for this i prefer fruits.

    My late mom was diabetic and used in her tea alternate tablets of sugar but how weird it was not making any difference medically .
