Bring on the Bacon : Bacon Burger Casserole : LCHF

Bring on the Bacon !!!

Ingredients
Serves Four
8g carbs per serving
1 tablespoon butter
7 oz. / 200 g bacon
1 lb / 450 g ground (minced) beef
2 dill pickle, finely chopped
2 tomatoes
1 garlic clove (optional)
2 eggs
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 cup / 225 ml heavy (double) whipping cream
7 oz. / 200 g shredded (grated) cheddar cheese
salt and pepper
Serving
5 1⁄3 oz. / 150 g lettuce
4 tablespoons olive oil

For those who may like onions - how about a thin slice, raw, served as a garnish?
An 1/8″ thick slice of a medium onion adds about 1g net carbs.

  5. I would love love love this one... How can you make it lower-calorie? Maybe I could use ground turkey --and then use Greek Yogurt instead of that whipping cream......

    Thanks for the recipe..
    Hugs,
