There's something cheerful about a red pepper, perhaps that's why it's this blogs logo! Or maybe it's because one cup equals close to 300% of your daily Vitamin C requirement! Why not include red peppers on your shopping list ... or are you already?
All the best Jan
...and they are delicious.
ReplyDeleteThey are a regular on our shopping list...glad to hear they are so very good for us.
ReplyDeleteGreat for adding to my salads as tomatoes don't sit well with me. I do like a touch of red to brighten things up. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteHi there... Happy February!
ReplyDeleteThey certainly do have a lot of Vit C. I love them sauteed as in a stir fry... hubby likes them raw in a salad, either way we seem to get through a fair amount of them whatever the season! Cheers and looking forward to your great posts for another year :D)
We love them at our house, Jan. I always have a couple in the refrigerator ready for salads or stir fry meals. Red is my favorite pepper. ♥
ReplyDeleteso nutritious!
ReplyDeleteRed peppers or any color don't set well with me. I just cannot eat them raw. I wonder if cooking them takes away all the nutrition. Maybe I can force myself to eat them for my health.
ReplyDeleteYes, they are delicious!
ReplyDeleteWe use these a lot.
ReplyDeleteAnd they are so yummy, too!
ReplyDeleteI love my peppers! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI love peppers but they're something that the rest of the family wouldn't eat so I rarely bought them. Eleanor's now decided that she loves them so they're a regular feature on the shopping list when she's home from uni.
ReplyDeleteAnd down this way we call them "capsicums". :)
ReplyDeleteHello, hubby and I enjoy the red pepper too. YUM!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend to you!
That's a lot of vit C!
ReplyDeleteSomething I have only enjoyed in recent years but glad to have discovered.
