Have you wondered why you should stay off the fruit when starting low carb?
Why are berries recommended but not bananas?
Well here is the Ultimate Guide to Carbs in Fruit,
which to enjoy and which to avoid.
Lots more helpful information, can be read here
I often enjoy a few of the lower carb fruits, in fact I recently bought some raspberries.
Do you have a favourite (low carb) fruit?
All the best Jan
I have berries every day, mainly blueberries.
ReplyDelete:)
...quite a difference.
ReplyDeleteI've been buying strawberries for some time now along with the occasional raspberries and blueberries. ♥
ReplyDeleteI do a lot of berries, too, but resort to a banana with a particularly abrasive med I take-it calms the stomach.
ReplyDeleteHave a great night and thanks for all the good info.
I'm surprised at some of these. Watermelon bothers me more than any other fruit. Interesting! Thanks for the info!
ReplyDeleteI have a handful of blueberries (from my freezer) every morning with my yogurt and nuts. Keeps me going until noon, along with a cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this valuable chart, those dried fruits!!
ReplyDeleteBlueberries. My favourite fruit in general.
ReplyDeleteI've been eating a fair amount of avocado which I quite enjoy when blended into a smoothie.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info.
Gary
Wow, I never knew, thank you!
ReplyDeleteThis is a handy chart. I am glad my diet isn't low carb because I love dried cranberries! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a helpful post, so full of valuable information. Thank you for sharing it. I learned a lot here.
ReplyDeleteI like berries, melons and mangos, but also apples and pears. And fruits have many good nutrients, not just carbs! Valerie
ReplyDeleteI'm a great fruit lover, but most of them have a lot of sugar, and that, of course, is bothering. You don't have some of my favorite fruit on your list: apricot, peach, guyava, sabra (pear prickle). I don't eat dried fruit at all.
ReplyDeleteI've never thought about carbs in fruit before.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info Jan.
ReplyDeleteI must admit to not thinking about carbs before in fruit. I eat fruit everyday, might have to change which ones.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see which fruit is good to eat.
Best regards,
Marco
I love fruit...and will not be giving it up. A day never goes by that I don't eat fruit.
ReplyDeleteI've just had two bananas and an apple...and I started this morning off by juicing five oranges.
I have to admit, I hadn't thought of carbs in fruit either.
ReplyDeleteThis is really interesting, I will make a note of these.
Trust me to love all the highest carb fruits best...cherries and bananas! Lol
Many thanks for this!😊😊

No carbs in my favorite fruit, right...chocolate.
ReplyDeleteI love cranberries, gooseberries, watermelon, cherries, Jan.
ReplyDeleteThanks for info!
Raspberries. Definitely raspberries.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy berries almost daily, but I must confess to eating lots of figs and mangoes when I have them in my garden, which is right now!
ReplyDeleteHi Jan,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this great post.
I especially like figs.
Warm hugs
Maria
