Just about sums up the times we live in. The profoundly abnormal has become normal. Have a nice day.

We are in a bad place in the US. Normal for so many is violence.
ReplyDeleteSadly, so very appropriate for the world we live in today.🙁
ReplyDeleteI guess all we really have is our sense of hope...
Many thanks for this...it certainly makes one think.
Stay safe, my dear friends😊😊

...and what really is normal?
ReplyDeleteThought provoking quote
ReplyDeleteThe deepest grief is the sense the upheaval doesn't feel right, facts don't jive, pieces fitting where common sense tells (most) of us they shouldn't.
So true! Have a great weekend, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI guess there are too few critical thinkers in the United States these days. People need to get off these online sites and start thinking and analyzing things for themselves. I'mm beginning to think a herd of cattle is smarter than some of the people out there attempting to destroy our democracy. Including their enablers.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with the quote. The abnormal people are normal only in relation to the abnormal society in which they live. Sadly, our present so- called democratic societies are definitely abnormal.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Inger. People need to stop following like a herd of sheep & think on their own. Excellent thought frame.
ReplyDeleteI take comfort in the fact that no-one else can go out either.... for once I am not alone!!! In lockdown here in England, although I am live alone, I am under the same conditions as everyone else.... except foreign nationals (who don't speak English so they don't know the rules). This IS my normal.
ReplyDeleteInteresting.
ReplyDeleteThe quote is so true, especially nowadays.
ReplyDeleteThere’s a lot of truth in those words. Thanks for sharing them. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteRico el Cheesecake de limón y yogur.
ReplyDeletePensamos que vivimos en una sociedad normal, y es triste ver que cada día es más anormal
Buen fin de semana. Cuidaros.
Un abrazo.
True comment by you after the quote.

Rich Lemon cheesecake and yogurt.
We think we live in a normal society, and it's sad to see that it's getting more abnormal every day
Good weekend. Take care of yourself.
A hug.
Very true and very interesting!!!
ReplyDeleteI really must reread "Brave New World."
