Here are seven facts ... I've done seven because we are in October and there are seven letters that make up this months name ... well it's a good enough reason 😃
1. The ten highest mountain summits in the United States are all located in Alaska.
2. There are over 6,000 known species of grass.
3. At birth, a baby panda is smaller than a mouse.
4. Octopuses and squids have beaks. The beak is made of keratin – the same material that a bird’s beak and our fingernails are made of.
5. Standing around burns calories. On average, a 150-pound person burns 114 calories per hour while standing and doing nothing.
6. It’s not just humans who are right or left-handed. Most female cats prefer using their right paw, and males are more likely to be left-pawed.
7. Lettuce is a member of the sunflower family.
