Sit a while beside the sea

photo seen here - taken by robin red breast
Seeing this classic seaside scene which was taken in Swanage, left me wondering if I was there could I just squeeze in the middle? It certainly looks a nice place to sit a while and enjoy the view.Swanage is a coastal town in the south-east of Dorset, England and besides the beach, there are other local attractions include the restored Swanage Steam Railway, the Victorian Swanage Pier, and Durlston Country Park National Nature Reserve. The town may also be used a base from which to visit other nearby areas of interest, such as Corfe Castle.
I have happy memories of walking along many piers that are still around some of the UK's seaside towns and there is still something magical enjoying a steam train ride... in fact I'm hoping to enjoy one later this year!
Yes, I could certainly sit a while on that bench with many happy reminisces, and perhaps enjoy an ice-cream ... although it may not be as low in carbs as this one here is.
Wishing you a happy day.
All the best Jan
Time by the beach is a wonderful thing. So are those good memories.

ReplyDeleteThere's nothing as relaxing as sitting and watching water, whether it's the ocean, a lake , a river or even a creek!!
ReplyDeleteI could sit there with you sounds lovely.
ReplyDeleteSitting by the sea and gazing into the distance is very relaxing.

ReplyDeleteSit and enjoy, a view of the sea and a good, best ice cream in hand.
ReplyDeleteIs there anything more beautiful, even better?
I wish a wonderful day, with a view and ice cream.
Good morning Jan!
it is such a comforting space, one the hubs and i share often. having an ice cream by the shore is a must, i see low carb ice cream on some of the signs now, but is it really worth it. i cream has to have sugar and be indulgent!!

ReplyDeleteI simply love that seaside vibe—just like at my place!
have a happy day, hugs Elke
I could sit there for hours just watching the boats and the gulls.
ReplyDeleteSitting in the sand by the sea is my favorite thing to do. A little different in Kansas though. Linda
ReplyDeleteLooks good there, Jan. It is rather nice to walk along the piers and sand by the sea on a lovely day. Such nice memories, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteI have never lived near a beach, so you are extremely lucky. Ice cream sounds good, too.
ReplyDeleteI miss the ocean and it´s sadly way too cold (8C) foe an ice-cream...
