The lowcarb Antis.

I follow this mob. They never give up. Most seem to be early retired or on the dole, or invalidity pensions. All kick lowcarb at every opportunity. So, lets have a look at the antis. Jopar who once said “if I followed Eddies or Fergus’ diet I would be dead” Amongst her many stated qualifications she is a qualified chief. Surely in a great position to work out a good diet for herself and diabetic husband. Err no, he has made national headlines when he was saved by a hypo sensing dog.

Noblehead, admitted after years of insulin dependent diabetes he did not even know how to store his insulin. Next comes Ka-Mon, two days ago after a ham sandwich and using two BG meters he was in the 12-14 BG number. As for Ken, he does not know what he is. One day it’s “bread is a no“, then “I can eat two slices of crusty white with no effect” Then we have the cherub. No meds, low GI and an HbA1c in the fours, but never the slightest detail how this is achieved.

Sid Bonkers, the name says it all. Ally, if you believe the bilge she spouts, I recommend psychiatric counselling at the earliest opportunity. Have I missed anyone, does it matter ? Not to anyone who has gained safe BG numbers, but how much damage have this motley crew done to the newly diagnosed or the confused ? I suspect they are proud of themselves, as they are fond of saying, we are all different. Ain’t that a fact !

  1. OMG!! There are people crying out for help in that forum and they are not getting the help they need.
Its distressing to observe all the rubbish thats going on in there.
We know that we could help but arent allowed to do so officially, we are banned from saving people's lives.
Naturally when you tell someone about low carb they will be shocked, their first question usually is 'but what can i eat then', I then take them by the hand, kind of, lets try this together, help them with meal planning and tried and tested recipes, testing their bg levels, suggest complimentary, holistic support they may wish to try out for themselves.
Nobody is forced to follow advice, but people soon realise soon enough that low carb works, they stick with it, they become healthy, confident.
I personally know many diabetics that you helped Eddie, please don't give up the fight.
Soon others will recognise the rubbish the anti carbs are dishing out.
    Thanks Eddie.

  5. Knobleheads tagline always raises a smile :
A gem is not polished without rubbing, nor a man perfected without trials.
It raises the Rab C Nesbiteque comeback of :
Aye but you cannae polish a turd!
