Charlie Bigham's Breton Chicken !

0.8 grams of carb per 100 grams. 2.5 grams of carb per half pack and tastes sublime ! These days I'm not a lover of pre-made factory foods, but this food is in a different league. When we have had a 12 hour plus working day, or I have been down on a lake fishing all day, and messing around in the kitchen for two hours is beyond us, Bighams is the business !

  1. I'm no chef but even I can cook these very tasty meals. Well they are a bit of a cheat but a very wholesome one. It was our wedding anniversary recently and as a treat I cooked us this Breton Chicken with a nice bottle of white wine - well if I'm being honest we did open a second bottle - ah it was a special occasion.Funny world that you then feature it on the blog.

  2. Happy memories of Breton and Brittany. Lovely holidays there, nice food and I seem to recall they had a mead type wine called Chouchenn and a cider which was a very nice drink, can't remember what its called over there but it was nice. I am going back a few years, now I just enjoy a glass of Chardonnay which for my palate is just right. It sounds as if my life revolves around drink - it doesn't but this article just bought back happy memories.
