Quote of the month !
"Harsh perhaps but calling someone a troll because they hold a different view to you is not on in my book"
From Bonkers on diabetes.co.uk today. When Dr. Jay Wortman was labelled a troll by Ken, Bonkers put the boot into Jay.
I have seen Sid’s posting on the food he eats, and how it is strictly controlled by portion sizes. It works for Sid I can appreciate that. But It would not work for the average type two diabetic, it would not work for a highly active person like me. I need at least 2500 calories a day to maintain my weight.
Sid has stated he leads a very sedentary life due to none diabetes related health problems. Also the last time I checked his forum profile he was carrying more meds than my local chemist. Let Sid stick to the corn flakes, spuds and bikkies, and I’ll stick to a diet base on around 50 carbs per day.
I hope Ken soldiers on, I'd hate for the entertainment to die. He reminds me of the Knight at the beginning of Monty Python's Holy Grail, everytime he gets a limb chopped off he just carrys on as if nothing has happened. God bless you Ken, you horrible, nasty, bullying, two faced, lying, self interested piece of dung! I'm enjoying every moment of your sad torment :)
I stand by what I said. Yes I use Metformin as well, but including the inhalers etc your profile stated ten or twelve medications. I know how wound up you got when I stated 15 grams of cornflakes when you had stated 16 and 17 in various posts, so just for the record just how many meds are you on ?
You guys love to say we make it up as we go along, I think some of you wreckers and antis forget what you say from one thread to the next.15,16,17 grams of cornflakes does it really matter ? Your diet would not keep an active three year old going. Check out the daily recommended for a three year old, it might suit you perfectly, but not the average active adult.
PS Keep up the good work, I hope your change of avatar implies your changing your ways and becoming a useful forum member.
Hello again $id, I must say you seem to be mellowing I do hope it continues.
I do have a theory though about why you often blow your top, could it be seeing your cornflakes are 10+ on the GI Richter scale this in turn could be affecting your serotonin levels? the high you get from the cornflakes is followed by a slump in levels leading to depression until you get your next fix. This is a bit like like a drug addicts response from coming down from a high.
Yes Eddie I use two inhalers daily for Bronchiectasis and Emphysema and another 'reliever' inhaler when required for asthma, hardly a crime and without taking the former two I would probably die so I thank the big farmer for that :)
Oh and I take ramipril and Adizem for high bp which I am also happy to do although I have always run on the high side.
So all in all hardly a chemist shop is it? I used to take more drugs when I was on prednisolone as that can cause other problems like diabetes :(

Dear Sid seems to be taken the modus operandi of the Great Leader – when questioned spout abuse!
ReplyDeleteAh Sid..Isn't he the man who's got good control eating what you wish you could do?
