A cautionary tale of poorly controlled diabetes.

Down the pub last night I got talking with a guy who’s brother is a type two diabetic. In his younger days he had been a professional boxer. He got successful and started earning big money. To cut a long story short his career went down hill. Too much money at a young age went to his head. Fast cars a different woman every night, too much booze and street meds. His career was going nowhere. Because of a couple of doping scandals he lost his pro licence and ending up fighting in illegal bare knuckle fights.

His health went down hill and he become bloated and punch drunk. A complete physical and mental wreck. He then became a type two diabetic. Overweight and a gibbering wreck compared to his younger days. Is he still alive I asked, yes was the reply. What is he doing now I asked. His brother replied, he's earning a living as a lowcarb anti on d.co.uk.
