The appalling NHS statistics for blood glucose control in England and Wales have been
presented many times on this blog. The question arises are the Scottish results
as bad?

The report indicates that the % of diabetics with HbA1C
> 7.5% (58 mmol/mol) has an increasing trend over 4 years concluding in 2012 with Type 1: 78.5% and
Type 2: 40.3%
A most telling comment in the report on page 3:
"The Survey reports that 39.3% of people with type 1 diabetes have poor glycaemic control."
This is the % of Type 1 diabetics with HbA1C > 9.0%, Clearly they do not regard HbA1C > 7.5% (58 mmol/mol) as out of control!!!!!!!!!!!

Appalling statistics not only in the UK but the States in fact globally.
