Leave Nothing But Footprints

Over half way through October and we are still having some fantastic weather down here on the South Coast. Today we had a walk along the coastal path at Milford-On-Sea. As you can see, the sign says "take your litter home" well, people seem to be listening, we did not see one piece of litter, nothing to spoil this very beautiful and peaceful place. It's easy to take living in a place of outstanding natural beauty for granted, we are determined not to. Eddie

The Boss walking down the steps to the sea.

The beach huts, highly sort after and very expensive.

A nice level walk for us old folks.

  2. I think it's too late to advise me to leave nothing but footprints...I've accumulated too much stuff.

  3. Beach huts are one of those concepts that never seemed to cross The Pond, as they call it.

  4. Fun seeing the "Boss" enjoying her walk. I like that there was no trash. Hopefully the whole world does this - leave no footprints and keeps the oceans clean from plastics.

  7. Take on photographs, leave nothing but footprints were phrases I heard often. I am glad that people are taking their litter home, and loved seeing The Boss.

  8. Looks great, so lovely to see the sea. I always tell people to pick up their litter if I see them littering, and mostly they do! Valerie

  16. I am very happy to see that people are heeding the instructions to take litter home and dispose of it properly. Would that it were so everywhere. I fear that globally we are barely making a dent in the problem of garbage, however. Enjoy the rest of your stay.

  17. Beautiful! The weather here is still great, too!
I´ve seen a documentary on those beach huts - much better than the typical roofed wicker beach chairs they have here at the coast!
    To the boss :-)

  19. Many thanks for your comments ...

    Linda asked about Beach Huts.
A beach hut (also known as a beach cabin or bathing box) is a small, usually wooden and often brightly coloured, box above the high tide mark on popular bathing beaches. They are generally used as a shelter from the sun or wind, changing into and out of swimming costumes and for the safe storing of some personal belongings. Some beach huts incorporate simple facilities for preparing food and hot drinks by either bottled gas or occasionally mains electricity.
