Deadly new virus identified the Gezzavirus !

By far and away the most serious virus known to man is the Gezzavirus. The virus quickly turns into the chronic condition known as Cretinopathy. Victims imagine themselves to be diabetics, with a compulsive need to make ludicrous claims of “diabetes resolved” on diabetes forums. A common trait is to claim a different carb intake almost every time they post. Very often the disease leads to compulsive changing of avatars and signature information. This condition should not be confused with the less serious “fat ex copper that used to be a mod” syndrome. Although the diseases appear to be similar, Cretinopathy is infinitely more serious, and is considered to be untreatable. Please be aware the Gezzavirus is highly contagious and sufferers are best avoided.

Well said Eddie the Emetic. You make everyone feel sick.

If you have to explain your rarely used word, “Emetic“, it‘s somewhat wasted don‘t you think ? Perhaps you were trying to impress us, or thrill us with your acumen. Don’t think you can get around me with your terms of endearment, if you are going to win me over you will have to try harder. Thanks for adding to our page view count, we are hoping to get to a million within the year. Be sure to put us in your favourites and don’t forget to tell your friends about us.

Ahhh ... anonymous cowards as opposed to the courageous people (over 40 at the last count) using pseudonyms on other sites ... I think I've just stumbled upon the MENSA site by mistake. Noone told me about the intellect-enahncing spin-off of low carbing.

I would have thought there were not 40 but millions using pseudonyms on other sites.

I think I've just stumbled upon the MENSA site by mistake.

H Ho Ho

You've got me singing Paul.

Fifteen men on a dead man's chest
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum
Drink and the devil had done for the rest
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.
We wrapped 'em all in a mains'l tight
With twice ten turns of a hawser's bight
And we heaved 'em over and out of sight,
With a Yo-Heave-Ho! and a fare-you-well
And a sudden plunge in the sullen swell
Ten fathoms deep on the road to hell,
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!

Name calling, very mature.
This thread is like a playground conversation.
Can anyone see anything constructive here?

Irene.

You are right of course, Irene, but it’s difficult on a blog. Adverse comments are posted anonymously and often include elements which must be answered or corrected .Otherwise agreement is implied. Then people starting off seam in various ways. It’s much harder to moderate a blog than a forum -even if thread locking and deletions etc. are not employed, just my opinion. Eddie might have a different view and certainly has much more experience than I

For some reason - I think a recent boat trip - I have had the first 4 lines of "Fifteen men on a deadmans chest” going round in my head for days and couldn't remember the rest you have saved me he trouble of looking hem up. Who would have thought a thread about the "g" man could have been helpful? Incidentally I am sure many of us have had different username's on other sites for many reasons not involving trying to disguise our identities .I don't think it should be assumed that we all have sinister motivation for doing this.
