"Clear skies meant hundreds of people across the south of England, UK, were able to see the spectacle of the Buck Moon as it rose on Sunday.
Each full moon of the year is given a nickname and Buck Moon is the name given to the full moon in July.
The name comes from the time of year when buck deer grow their antlers.
The full moon rose at about 22:00 BST and set during the early hours of Monday.
The moon looks larger when close to the horizon due to an optical illusion.
It also appears orange due to the angle it is viewed through the Earth's atmosphere."

Driving home late on Saturday night I saw the largest moon I've ever seen. No opportunity to take a photo. Didn't think to.look on Sunday night.

The moon is special
We didn't see it but I enjoyed looking at the photographs. My favourite was the one behind the Needles.
I didn't see it either. I think the photo of the moon rising through Durdle Door is my favourite.

I "might" have seen it...I took our pup, Libby out around 3am...glanced up then around casually...then we went back inside...I thought something didn't look quite right!

After 2 nightshifts on Fri and Sat night, I was dead to the world on Sun night. I did see some cool things when I finished up on early Sun morning around 4am. Sure I saw Venus too.

Here we have seen it coming out of the horizon of the Atlantic that I have a few meters away. It is a beautiful spectacle!
I only saw it white and bright shining through my bedroom window as I was going to sleep. Alas, no shadows -- or maybe I was too tired to see them~!

I haven't seen it, although it's also because I haven't gone outside. It is better to be inside the house, with the air conditioning on, than walking down the street, since even at night, it is now too hot.

I didn't see the Buck moon but I think the picture you chose to show was amazing. I did look at the others but it was difficult to choose a favourite.
