"Sadly" Ingo already got kohlrabi (you say kohlrabi?! I only found turnip cabbage as translation - but that does not sound correct?) - reckon he´ll steam it, add parsley and butter - if you have a more "exciting" recipe... please? Though.. he cooks what he knows anyways... The way his Grandma did...

The flowers are beautiful - so vibrant.
The blueberry and coconut cake sounds delicious. The blueberries are wonderful this year, though not the ones from my garden - they were a disappointment.

Hello Iris
Many thanks for your comment/question.

Kohlrabi is a wonderful low-carb vegetable chock-full of vitamins and may be used instead of potatoes, but also raw in salads. Looking something like a Sputnik in vegetable form, with a squat bulb and antennae-like shoots, kohlrabi is part of the cabbage family. The name translates as 'turnip cabbage' and the mild, sweet flavour is somewhere between a turnip and a water-chestnut, with a crisp, crunchy texture. It can be found in two colours, pale green and the less common purple.

Kohlrabi is nice with smothered leeks see here:-

Or how about Töltött Karalábé : Hungarian Stuffed Kohlrabi?
more details here:-

However Ingo cooks it ... enjoy :)

All the best Jan

PS I'll visit your blog in a moment and leave the two recipe links.
