For the sake of truth, I have to say that there are LCarbers who count calories. Wooo is a good example, however, she does it more for observation, to take account of all her food.
Eddie, the people who manage their blood sugar levels have different issues that the people who try not to regain lost fat. It is possible to regain eating too much of LC food after a weight loss.
I don't count calories, I just avoid all snacks and eat within 6 - 8 hours window.
Many, especially middle-aged females can't loose all weight they want. Then they often loose motivation to follow the diet. I still have extra 20 lb over my preferable weight, but it is better than extra 50 lb, and multiple health benefits keep me going.
Wow - I thought we had our share of the crazies on the Mighty DUK Forum.
I had a look at her blog.
That woman is obsessed; 'I cut and paste therefore I am.'
I wonder how much of what she rants about she actually understands?
Low carb dogma? What planet is she on? My low carb karma ran over her high carb dogma...

Hi Galina
I hear what you are saying, and I appreciate women of a certain age go through all sorts of hormonal upheaval. Which can make losing weight a big problem.
So much of weight gain or loss is down to hormonal problems, for men and women.
Calories in and out etc is not strictly true. However even low carbers eating far too many calories and not burning them off will lead to weight gain, lowcarbing is not a get out of jail free card.
However, for us diabetics the main reason we low carb is to control BG numbers on minimal or no medication. The weight loss for many is a bonus.
Jan and I never count calories, we eat when hungry, stop when full. It works for us and many others. Less carbs keeps insulin levels low and we avoid the peaks and troughs of a highs sugar/carb diet.
