Are you already rocking around the Christmas Tree?

I wonder are you already rocking around the Christmas tree? Is your house already looking sparkling with fairy lights and baubles?

Maybe you've got the candy canes ready, and the tinsel hung? Or maybe you haven't started decorating quite yet.

If you go in the shops Christmas décor, and stuff, is everywhere and even the Christmas TV adverts have started. So just out of curiosity, have you got your tree and lights up yet? If not, when do you put up your decorations?

Do please share in the comments below.

I tend to put decorations up the first week of December, I do enjoy seeing them.
Out and about recently quite a few people have their lights and displays up already ... it is cheerful to see, and the shops are beginning to look very festive.

Perhaps I'd better start writing some Christmas Cards!?

All the best Jan

Hi Jan! I want to but I'm waiting until after Thanksgiving. I have to move things around and that takes energy and motivation so I hope mine lasts until I can do it all!

No rocking around a Christmas tree for me...I will have no Christmas tree. I will be spending the Festive Season very, very quietly, as as been my way for the past few years. A quiet time is planned. :)

I want to decorate three weeks ago! Ha ha. I think we will finally do it this Saturday.

No Christmas decorations here yet, I like to wait until our Thanksgiving holiday is done and then put them up.

My plans were to hang Christmas lights outside on the porches today, but we've had rain all day, so maybe tomorrow.
My tree is already decorated, just not turned on yet, maybe Thanksgiving night 🎄
Hugs,
Jo

No decorations here though the shops are full of them. I am just contemplating baking Christmas cakes. And have bought a (very) few gifts.

Not yet. Time was I put everything up the day after Thanksgiving and took it down at Epiphany. Then I went back to fewer decorations up around the beginning of December but now I don't bother. The intention is there but I cannot get the boxes out of the attic and my hands shake too much to handle delicate ornaments.
Are you living in a snow globe landscape?

Not yet! I love to see the stores with all their Christmas decorations on display but for me, it's too soon to have them out at home. I think I'll do the same as you, and put them up the first week in December. And I've not started my Christmas shopping yet. Xx

NO Christmas decorations here yet, I used to have the tree up on 1st December for Frankie's birthday but he doesn't live here any longer so I'll revert to probably the last minute as I used to.

Since September there is Christmas cookies and all in the stores. I feel sad for the children, Christmas is nothing special anymore in Germany.

Most Italians make Christmas tree and decoration on the 8th December (Immaculate Conception Day).

A few people in our street have their decorations working with lights, simple yet nice.
I'm hopefully putting up a Christmas Tree this year as last year we didn't, then the years before for about 4 to 5 years we were always away for Christmas.

...just after our Thanksgiving, we will be rockin' around the Christmas tree.

I think that we see Christmas decorating earlier and earlier especially commercially. Most people I know wait till the day after Thanksgiving to start decorating for Christmas. We are almost there .

Here in the US, Thanksgiving is the last Thursday in November. I usually don't bring out Christmas till after this, but this year it is so late and I'm needing a little bit of twinkle. So, I might break my "rule" and start sooner. I'm still putting the house back together after the bugs and I shouldn't start one thing without finishing another, but I am so ready this year! So, we'll see. I do tend to leave them up rather a long while to keep the lights sparkling during winter!

I like to wait for Advent before decorating very much. And our tree, always a real one, doesn't go up right away because we want it to last until New Year's. I enjoy seeing all the displays in the stores and businesses, though.

YES! I put the tree and decorations up just at the start of November. My daughter is very excited so thought might as well! :-D

We always wait until After Thanksgiving and this year it isn't until the 28th, some are putting theirs up early since Thanksgiving is so late this year but I am still going to wait, I think it is because I love the Autumn season so much and my house is very full of Autumn decorations that I will keep them up as long as I can :)

I still follow the Swedish tradition I grew up with: The tree was decorated the day before Christmas Eve and other decorations came out on that day too. The first Sunday in Advent, people put up large stars of strong paper with a light bulb inside that was turned on once it got dark. And it got dark early and it was a lovely sight to see all the stars shining in windows as I walked home from the bus stop. These days, I have a small fake tree on a table.

I wait until after Thanksgiving, which is next Thursday.Depending on what's happening, they may even go up on that Friday (Black Friday). I figure I might as well enjoy them,e specially on the dark days of early winter.

I used to wait until the middle of December before putting up the tree. In those days we had a real tree but with an artificial one it can be put up any time so I keep getting earlier and earlier. LOL

I am very happy that we do not celebrate Christmas and therefore avoid all the rush, anguish, expense and everything else that seems to make Christmas more torture than fun!

I think it's lovely that you're gearing up for December decorations—there's something magical about seeing the tree and lights come together. I agree, it's always fun to see others' displays around town. As for Christmas cards, it's never too early to get started! I tend to wait until the first week of December too. It's such a special time of year, and it’s great that you’re embracing the season's cheer!
