However, (good news) there are sugar substitutes that work quite well in most recipes and there are many different low carb flours and flour substitutes which may be used.
Low carb cakes can be delicious and do not raise blood sugar levels as a regular cake would, so if you are a diabetic and want to treat yourself to a cake you could consider trying a low carb cake recipe. In fact many non-diabetics, or those wishing to reduce sugar and carbs intake can enjoy these cakes too.

I have always liked the idea of mug cakes. They can be made quickly, great for potion control and are easy to make. These recipes sound wonderful and are on the healthy side.
Those are cute and look tasty!
Looks good. I tried using nut flour for a while, but I was gaining weight so fast I had to stop.
Have never mad a mug cake since I don't have a microwave. Look great!
I am aware of them but have never tried a mug cake. Indeed we eat very little cake. Two or three slices a year maybe?
Products and produce have come along way for people with diabetes. I just don't care for mud cake at all.
The chocolate cake looks delicious in such a pretty mug.
I've only tried making a mug cake once and it didn't turn out as I'd hoped. Perhaps I should give it another go.
Beautiful food for beautiful mind

I love mug cakes and mug meals
They look yummy, and much more sensible than making a whole cake because once it's gone it's gone you can't have another slice 😄
Nice to just a little cake. Mug cakes are a great idea. Both look good but I'd like the chocolate.
Gracias por la receta. Te mando un beso.
I have coffee in a mug, I see my mug in the mirror every morning, but I have never had cake in a mug. There are still new ideas to be explored on this Earth!
