Ya gotta larf !

Hi everyone, just a word on the "I agree", "+1" type posts.

Bear in mind that these can come across in a "see, you're wrong Mr/Ms X" (especially when they come in numbers).

We're seeing ever more of these posts and I've got a bit tired of seeing them as a casual observer.

Any questions, please PM me.

Many thanks
Benedict

The clue is in that sentence. Maybe that is exactly what they are saying!!! (and what is wrong with that??

I suspect more "bullying" complaints have been made.

But if you are wrong - you are wrong. Its in the public domain, so how can it be bad for several people to agree that someone is wrong? Its easier to cut and paste and add +1 than post a whole new post agreeing.

There are a few that have been very wrong for years, what is the hold that Jopar, Bonkers and co have over the forum ?

They get bans and threads locked and deleted all the time, they call Doctors quacks and liars but still they remain.They confuse the newly diagnosed and spread fear an alarm.

Perhaps they are good for the main site selling junk. If every diabetic low carbed the diabetes junk industry would be knackered.

Would not be at all surprised these anti's seem to be a very sensitive lot, an example is nobleheads moan about the use of the term carboholic;

"The use of words such as 'Carboholics' has no place on a diabetes forum where people manage their condition using various methods and amounts of carbs, this word was being used in a insulting manner lately to cause hurt and offense to certain members of the forum"
