Rain Rain Go Away Come Again Another Day !

Wouldn’t you know it, it’s the weekend,  and you think … Great lets go out for a walk … but the weather for parts of the UK is for rain, rain and more rain.

The grandchildren think it’s great and it’s just a case of:

“Puddles Puddles Everywhere,
I’ve got my boots on and …
I don’t care !”

For Eddie, although he likes to fish, he is more of a fair-weather fisherman and enjoys the river bank or lake in the good weather. I also like to join him in good weather, I’m a whizz with the landing net, as is one of the grandsons pictured below.

So what do you do? Do you dress up and venture out? Do you stay indoors and put the kettle on, settle down with a book - watch the six nations rugby, or super bowl in the US? Well the decision is yours. You can still have some enjoyable walks, just make sure you have the correct outer-wear and footwear on. Sometimes although you take a look outside and think UGH no I’m staying in, a walk in the rain can feel exhilarating … no honestly it can. So get dressed up, take your umbrella - if needed - and come back in feeling invigorated and ready for a lovely LCHF meal … and the final episodes of ’The Bridge’ on BBC 4 tonight ! Are you a fan … we have been following it these past weeks and don’t mind the subtitling at all. If you saw the recent BBC news you will know that Sofia Helin, who plays socially awkward Malmo investigator, Saga Noren, and her likable Copenhagen detective partner Martin Rhode, played by Kim Bodnia, say they will return for a third series. That for me is good news …

Only a suggestion; but if you do have a lovely walk why not consider this great LCHF meal for a cold Winter evening? You can find the recipe by ‘hopping‘ over to our food blog here.

Whatever you do I hope you have a great Saturday and watch out for Saturday Night is Music Night … don’t know what the ‘boys’ have planned!

All the best Jan

Many thanks to you all for your comments -

Yes, our grandson really enjoyed his fishing trip and it was a good size fish - or so the 'experts' tell me.

Hope the weekend is going well.
