From Barry Summers Director at Diabetes Digital Media Limited - Diabetes.co.uk

"Diabetes digital media limited owns and operates www.diabetes.co.uk - the largest diabetes information website in Europe receiving almost 10 million unique visitors per annum (800,000 people a month). The website has an active forum that has over 88000 members and when surveyed advised that the management of diabetes had improved since becoming a forum member. In addition we engage people with diabetes via Facebook and the diabetes.co.uk Facebook page has over 100,000 followers. We generate significant data from registered users and surveys, we recently conducted a survey with 20,000 diabetic patient responses to a 58 question survey gathered over a period of seven days.

The company is about to launch a market leading diabetes mobile app that will help people with diabetes throughout the world, with a reporting function allows readings to be provided to health care professionals. In mid 2014 we are launching a type 2 online education and wellness program that will offer an opportunity to reach type 2 patients worldwide to improve the health and management of the condition beyond medication. The program addresses understanding, nutrition, exercise and uniquely emotions and is scalable to reach a global audience compared to an offline program.

Mid 2014 we will be launching international sites in the image of diabetes.co.uk to expand the business reach globally with the knowledge that all the applications are able to become
multi lingual.

The aim of our business is to improve the quality of life to our online viewers, by providing access to high quality tools and information and education delivered via multiple channels via laptop, tablet and mobile applications.

We are interested to hear from investors, M&A groups, strategic partners, health insurance or pharmaceutical companies who have an interest in improving outcomes in the management and control of diabetes throughout the world. An ideal turn key beyond the pill distribution channel."

Is it any wonder why so many low carbers were banned or bullied off the forum over the years ? Is it any wonder a small group of low carb antis have ruled the roost ? Low carbers will cost big pharma a fortune, the last thing they want is to get involved with a forum, that almost all the success stories, are talking about the low carb salvation for so many diabetics.

So there you have it folks, as I have said so many times before, DCUK an exploitation outfit, and the above confirms it. The truth always outs, it just takes time.

Hat tip to the anonymous commenter for the link to the above. My bold red.

Nice to see what we have known for a long time out in the open. That Barry Summers info confirms so much.

It appears DCUK are more concerned with quantity, not quality ! Yes, over 100,000 forum members but my guess is 90% of the posts are by approx 20 or so "regulars" !

And 99.9% of the members never post or checked out years ago. It's a farce and would not fool a good marketing man for one minute.

It's great to see they've finally come out of the closet - or should that be medicine chest?

Hi Ray

Corruption is the new honesty, everywhere you look it's so blatant people don't even try to cover it up.

This is Camorons UK don't forget we are all in this together, up to our necks in shit.

People find out, never mind the next bunch of mugs will be along soon. That's how DCUK treats people.

It's so obvious why they don't want the forum dominated by LowCarbers, hardly likely to be an incentive for Big Pharma to invest.

Cynically yours

I like their poetic licence with the numbers; "88000 members" they say.

Once you remove Eddie's dormant sock puppets that goes down to 12,000 members. :)

Then you remove the ones that have only posted once and/or are bots it goes down to 27 members and like I said before I'm pretty sure Sid Bonkers and at least some of the others are not very sophisticated artificial conversation generating software.

It's nice to know that the ones there have such power though.
