Meanwhile back in 2019 !

Like many families, due to the current Covid 19 restrictions, we are seeing our family courtesy of the internet, and are so thankful that we can. But looking back to last year, I can remember a lovely outing to Mudeford where these gulls were 'Diving for Dinner' - see here

four of our grandchildren hoping they will catch some crabs
I seem to remember they did

and youngest grandson being so patient feeding the ducks

Thank goodness for photographs and lovely memories

The best things in life
are the people we love,
the places we've been,
and the memories we've made
along the way.

I'm certainly looking forward to seeing them all in the summer, if Covid 19 restrictions allow! I'm sure we will enjoy an ice lolly/popsicle, or two, together -  these white chocolate raspberry ones are nice, they are low carb and dairy free, recipe can be seen here

All the best Jan

My friend Jan,
This post is so beautiful, so human, that it can create the deepest emotions. Realy, the happiness of life.
I never lose my optimism despite many difficulties.

This poem is for your grandchildren :

The sun loves
their steps

The sea is caressing
their hands

The wind is singing
their beauty

All the natural elements praise
their feelings

great memories and enjoyed the photos - surely it won't be that long we can all enjoy family again...well here we can ...they've opened up shops and restaurants in our area....still with social distancing and masks required in some places.

Sweet family photos Jan. Isn't is wonderful to have social media at our fingertips? This pandemic would be so much more difficult for the world without it. I am hoping summer has some normalcy too. Fingers crossed!

We've just all had a video call, but it will be so nice to see everybody 'in real life' again. Take care, Sue xx

What a fun memory. Last year on this weekend I was getting ready for three weeks in England, Scotland and Ireland. So grateful I stayed a little longer in the UK and got to visit with dear English friends.

It's so hard being away from our loved ones, thank goodness we have such happy memories of times we've shared with them to keep us going.

Time will come and you will see them once again and be able to give them the longest hug.
We can see our 5 grandchildren who range from 5 to 13 years of age, and two of them come and live with us every second weekend - and for fun 2 of them video chat with us.
Lovely scenes in your photos.

Jan - what's summer without family outings, especially that involve water, barbecues and the like? I hope that you have the opportunity to make some new family memories!
