Waves crash against the sea wall and Porthcawl Lighthouse in Porthcawl, Bridgend, Wales
(pa media image)
However, efforts to restore power and travel could be hit by a new yellow weather warning as forecasters predict winds of up to 70mph on Sunday and Monday.
So I think we shall just enjoy a quiet Sunday and Monday at home, catching up, where possible with family and friends via the telephone and internet (in some areas the storm and strong winds have cut power).
I may even make a cake! This low carb / keto blueberry coconut cake can be made in a cake pan, cast iron skillet-pan or as muffins, (which makes it easy to customize). It’s grain-free, nut-free, sugar-free, and did I mention low carb / keto! What’s more, it's light, airy, and moist. The blueberries and coconut flour pair perfectly in this recipe suggestion. That a scary cloud.
Coffee is on and stay safe
Thinking of you. The cake looks delicious and comforting.
Se ve muy rica la receta. Te mando un beso.
Looks yum..x
Your winds were even more devastating than the ones to hit my area. I only lost phone and internet, while others lost electrical power and heat. Stay warm and safe, as the next wave of storms form.
Pleased you're safe after the storm, fortunately we've not suffered any storm damage.
That cake looks delicious and I love blueberries, so I'll save the recipe, thank you.
Avril xx
That cake looks great! The storm hit hard here, too. Our area was less affected than the north and east of Germany, but still lots of damage. Have a safe Sunday, Valerie
This time last week we were pounding the streets in Blackpool - glad it's not this week! That cake looks delicious and I like the way it's cooked in the pan. Take care and have a lovely weekend, Sue xx
Cake is the way to celebrate! Stay safe.

I think it's definitely time to hunker down. That cake looks delicious, blueberries and coconut, yum.
I hope you stay home for safety. You can enjoy good foods and cups of tea in your warm house.
We were lucky in the North East, storm Eunice didn't affect us too much but we are still experiencing strong winds. I love the sound of that cake. Stay safe!
Take care and stay safe.
God bless.
No matter what the climate skeptics say, if you examine the science in even the most perfunctory manner, these storms are going to become more frequent, and possibly, probably even, more intense. So get ready!
Hello,
That was some storm, scary. I glad you are Ok.
The cake sounds yummy, I will save this recipe.
Take care, enjoy your day and the new week ahead.
Stay safe. The blueberry cake sounds like a perfect way to ride out the storm
Oh my! That's one serious storm. I'm so glad you are all right and it doesn't sound like you had damage. That photo of the wave is remarkable. Very frightening indeed.
That cake looks delicious. Batten down the hatches!
Those are some incredible waves, I hope people did OK and lived through this storm.
That is an incredible huge wave and scary. We got some snow, gusty winds and rain. Storm Franklin is here right now with more of the same. Stay safe!
Wow - that's some wave. Here, when a storm is coming in, the surfers all paddle out to catch the larger than normal waves. Bet there weren't any surfers out for these waves!
Waves crash...I think that looks more like "Godzilla attacks!" Yikes! π¦
So glad you are safe and well at home. That's an amazing wave!
A terrible storm. Glad you are okay.
Cake sure looks good.
Sounds like a bad storm.
Sorry to hear about the storm. Hope the power will be there soon.
Great blueberry cake!
Enjoy the rest of this Sunday :-)
Quite a storm.
The cake sounds good.
It is such a tragedy about the weather now.
...and thanks for the recipe. Sounds yummy!
Glad to hear you are ok. Those storm photos are wild. That wave one you shared shows how much energy was in the ocean. I hope you have a hopefully less threatening weather start to the week.
Que bueno pastel de arΓ‘ndanos. Besos.
Blueberry coconut - wow, looks so good. That is a heck of a huge wave.
