Terminus of Duggie's Road to Perdition

A previous post reported on the NHS Scotland results for HbA1C.

Like the NHS England and Wales policy for type 2 diabetics with its reliance on medication (the Duggie Road to Perdition) this results in a great deal of suffering for those diabetics naïve/ignorant enough to follow such a policy. This post attempts to quantify and illustrate the extent of such suffering in Scotland.

Unless otherwise stated, the quoted incidence for each diabetic complication/diabetes type represents the cumulative number of incidents recorded between 2001 and 2012. The post may then be said to be a concise summary of the scale of the “suffering” of the diabetic population of Scotland between 2001 and 2012.

Seeing Duggie's Low GI pot noodle diet has been endorsed by the legend in her own life time, renowned Type 2 diabetes expert and drama queen phoenix we must assume pot noodles are considered a healthy option.

As for the deep fried mars bars we can only speculate the effects on Type 2, all is not lost though for the lovers of this delicacy because a mars bar has a lower GI number than white bread, rice, cornflakes, and potatoes because it has much more fat, so this is a product that should get the phoenix seal of approval.
