Win a copy of Antony Worrall Thompson's weight loss cookbook !

The last time I saw AWT he was carrying a lot of excess blubber. He has come up with a cook book especially for diabetics.

"In 2003, Antony Worrall Thompson was told that he was at great risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes if left unchecked.

This diagnosis was the impetus Worrall Thompson needed to change his eating habits and his lifestyle, and led the celebrity chef to take a great interest in healthy cooking.

Worrall Thompson has worked with qualified dietitians to write cookbooks specifically for people with diabetes"

If he is eating some of the recipes in this cook book (check out the links in the link) full blown type two diabetes may be on the way. If he had kept away from dietitians he may have got it right.

I dont remember exactly when but I bought his first "Healthy" Diabetic cookbook. I was at the time subscribing to Diabetes UK because I sincereley believed they were helping and his diagnosis brought a little much needed focus. Since getting my head around the issue and lo Carb the book has been propping up others in the book-case. I binned it along with several other "mistakes" recently. Look at his offerings in the Express Magazine if you want an insight into his idea of healthy eating.

I think with the carb levels mentioned I will give this book a miss. How about you doing one Eddie with all the excellent recipes on your blog and web site I'm sure it would be successful, and its badly needed.

OUCH ! I think the carbs are a little too high for me in these recipes. I will stick to my 'own' recipes many taken from this blog.

Between 40 to 50 carbs a day is what I work too and it works for me.

I started a low carb recipe book two years ago. Maybe I should give the low carb antis a miss and get back to it !

I use many of the recipes on this blog and your web site and can now keep my numbers around the mid fives. When you look around at so called diabetic recipe books I do wonder who the so called experts talk to and where they do their research because most ,not all, of the recipes would see my numbers go too high.

Hi Mary

It's all about money ! So many are completely ignorant of the facts, especially most dietitions and the Medics. Others are happy to kill people for money. Then you have the carb and medication addicted, full time anti lowcarb dullards, the worst of the lot in my opinion.
