...a song that other rock songs are judged by!

Great guitarist! He's been struggling lately to play his guitar as he's had some nerve damage in the past.

All my friends tell me I was born a generation too late, because this is one of the songs I really, really LOVE. Instead, I should be listening to rap, but I prefer classic rock any day!

Forgot to mention that in addition to Pink Floyd, Cream is one of my favorite groups.

Hello William, thanks for your comment.
Looking at Wikipedia - back in 2011, Marsalis and rock guitarist Eric Clapton performed together in a 'Jazz at Lincoln Centre' concert. The concert was recorded and released as the album Play the Blues: Live from Jazz at Lincoln Centre… I wonder if this was the version you saw?

Hello DUTA, many thanks for your comment.
Yes, Eric Clapton is a great guitarist. Eddie and I were fortunate to see him in concert a few years ago at London's Royal Albert Hall.
There have been many articles about his struggles to play guitar, this one for example:
Eric Clapton Struggling to Play Guitar Due to Nerve System Damage, read more about that here
https://www.guitarworld.com/artists/eric-clapton-struggling-play-guitar-due-nerve-system-damage

I'm so thankful that we can continue to listen to great music of all genres via You Tube and similar :)

Thanks again for taking time to comment.

All the best Jan

Hello Debbie and many thanks for your comment.
Both Eddie and I enjoy listening to 'Clapton' as we usually call him!
There is quite a story behind the son Layla … starting from 7th-century Arabia!
Much more to read here:
