Cheesy Cake Bars / Biscuits : Low Carb High Fat

This is a recipe idea I saw on Ewelina's blog and thought it a great idea. She calls them Cheese Biscuits but they are quite spongy on the inside - similar to a muffin - so perhaps I'd call them 'Cheesy Cake Bars'. They are quite high in fat so if you eat one or two (maximum) they are very satiating and you will feel full for hours ...
There is also another benefit, bake a big batch and they can make a super fast breakfast on the go. You grab one from the fridge and enjoy with your morning cup of tea or coffee.

Ingredients:
150g/5 ounces ground almond
100g/3.5 ounces cream cheese
50g/2ounces cheddar cheese, grated
50g/2ounces butter, melted
1 egg
1 heaped tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda

Nutritional values:
1 Biscuit
Carbs 1.2g
Protein 6g
Fat 18g
Calories 195

They taste nice eaten warm or cold

so please do go over to Ewelina's blog
and see the cooking instructions
she'll welcome you with a warm smile ...

All the best Jan

These sound really good, and my husband is trying to emphasize protein in his diet, so these would be great for him. Thanks!
