I used to have a bright red car, and for some reason, birds were forever sitting on my mirrors, too. If all they did was admire themselves in the mirror, I would have no problem with it, but they used it as a perch to splat nasties all down the side of my car! I swear, if I went somewhere, when I got back home, birds were lined up with newspapers under their wings, impatiently waiting for the return of their favorite potty.
Okay, so I may have exaggerated a teensy bit... :)

What a great find, a unfamiliar species to me. I love my birds. Liked the parsnip input, I seem to crave them this time of year.Looking at a frost today so dug mine up leaving a few for later.

Saw a woodpecker on our morning walk today, heard him chattering, thought it was a squirrel at first. But it was a large woodpecker of the the kind we call Heckle and Jeckle---they're cartoon woodpeckers.
Hmmm, I've never seen one with any colors other than black, white and red before. Thanks for sharing.
