Thought for the day.

“The real hopeless victims of mental illness are to be found among those who appear to be most normal. Many of them are normal because they are so well adjusted to our mode of existence, because their human voice has been silenced so early in their lives, that they do not even struggle or suffer or develop symptoms as the neurotic does. They are normal not in what may be called the absolute sense of the word; they are normal only in relation to a profoundly abnormal society. Their perfect adjustment to that abnormal society is a measure of their mental sickness. These millions of abnormally normal people, living without fuss in a society to which, if they were fully human beings, they ought not to be adjusted.” – Aldous Huxley, Brave New World Revisited

Just about sums up the times we live in. The profoundly abnormal has become normal. Have a nice day.

Eddie

Excellent post Jan!

very true that most part of our societies is living on wrong and unnatural side of existence but i still believe that if there is only one left on correct path ,life is beautiful and Creator is happy.

Majority choose wrong to do does not change the meaning of wrong ,it will remain wrong and against the universal laws of righteousness

I totally agree with your "Thought for the day." What is our world thinking of. Thank goodness we have our gardens, kitchens, crafts and one another!
This dish looks amazing, I do not cook with curry much, but when I do I am always so pleased. Tonight I am going to a vegetarian cooking class with my daughter. I have included the link, because I thought you'd find it interesting!

Something to ponder! I read somewhere once that in order to stay sane in this new world and not let everything that others do "get to you" one has to look at everyone else as if they are mentally ill and just go with it because they don't know any better. I wish I could recall where I read that. Sometimes it's all you can do. Enjoy your day, where ever it leads you!

OMG Eddie, so true. It's incredibly sad. I think it's because too many just want love and acceptance and don't have it. Stay healthy Guys and live your best life

Un pensamiento para reflexionar profundamente. Parece que la sociedad le hace un vacío a los enfermos mentales.

Something to be said for 'normal' society in places is very whacky ~ Other people are good and doing for themselves and others ~
