1. “Titanic” was the first movie to gross $1 billion at the box office and the first film to sell one million copies on DVD.
The film was made in 1997 directed by James Cameron and starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. Incorporating both historical and fictional aspects, it is based on accounts of the sinking of RMS Titanic in 1912.
Originally constructed in 1831, the London Bridge began deteriorating in the 1960s, leading the City of London to sell it.
In 1963, American entrepreneur Robert P. McCulloch bought and dismantled the bridge, shipping it to Lake Havasu City in Arizona piece by piece. The reconstruction took three years to complete and opened as a tourist attraction on October 10, 1971.
The bridge is not only a historical artifact but also a symbol of ingenuity and American entrepreneurship. It has been featured in films, music, and television, and is considered the largest antique ever sold. The bridge’s relocation transformed Lake Havasu City into a vibrant tourist destination, blending British heritage with the Arizona desert landscape
Fast food powerhouse McDonald's has more than 36,000 franchises around the world — an astounding number!
2. The original London Bridge is now in Arizona.

3. McDonald’s sells an estimated 9 million pounds of French fries every day and around 3.29 billion pounds each year.
French Fries are McDonald's foremost potato product, and the most popular item on the McMenu — a fact that has been true since the company's early days.
4. The smallest bone in your body is in your ear.
Known as the stapes bone, this tiny bone is, on average, 0.09 × 0.11 inches (3 × 2.5 mm) in size.
The stapes bone can be found in the middle ear of humans and many other animals. It is vital in transferring vibrations from sounds into the inner ear.
5. Recycling just one tin can saves enough energy to watch television for 3 hours.
That’s how important recycling is! In fact, recycling an aluminum can into a new one takes only 5% of the energy required to produce one normally.
The average person has the chance to recycle 25,000 cans in their lifetime – that’s 75,000 hours of television!

I knew Titanic was a very popular film but it's one I still haven't watched!
That fact about recycling makes you think doesn't it!

I have a feeling that McDonald's won't be able to say that for much longer with the price of fast food increasing so much.
Hi Jan,
Interesting facts.
I only knew which is the smallest bone in our body (point 4).
We are always learning.
Hugs and all the best for you
Dear Jan, the only one I knew was about the smallest bone in the body is in the ear 👂
Thanks for sharing.
#2 and #5 I did not know! I have seen the Titanic one time and that was enough. Isn't our human body amazing!! Such a small bone that does so much, and without it who knows what we would do? Apple tells me all the time to turn down my music or podcast when I am out mowing. I finally bought some noise cancelling headphones so I could lower the volume and not hear the mower. I am probably too late with the effort though, I hope not!
...I flunked this quiz!!!
Muy interesante. Te mando un beso.
The only fact that I knew was about the smallest bone being in the ear. Thanks for the rest!!
What fun! I enjoyed these very much Jan, thank you :)
Number five—I didn't know that yet.
The other one is interesting too, thank you!
Have a happy day, Elke
I only knew one, Jan. I'll look for the bridge to see what it's like.
#1 I never watched...
#2 is crazy.
#3 makes me gag.
#4 gave up on my right one, sadly.
#5 we always do! But we have no "television" (only on our monitors)
Gostei de saber...Algumas não lembrava!
beijos, ótimo fim de semana! chica
I didn't know any of these fun facts! have a great weekend, Jan!
I learn something new every day! This was fun. I hope you are doing well. I'm better. Sweet hugs, Diane
Thank you... I did not know anything about #2. WOW!!!
Learning that Robert McCulloch bought the actual London Bridge and shipped it piece by piece to the Arizona desert is the kind of wild, eccentric millionaire history that feels entirely fictional. It is mind-blowing to visualize a massive piece of British heritage just chilling by Lake Havasu, completely transforming a desert town into a tourist hub. The recycling fact is a massive wake-up call too, because realizing a single tin can translates to three whole hours of television energy really puts daily habits into perspective. I am absolutely shocked that you still haven't watched Titanic after all these years, especially considering it completely rewrote box office history.
