Sunday 21st June 2026 here in the UK, and many other countries, we celebrate Father's Day. It is usually held on the third Sunday of June and is a day to honour fathers and father figures, such as grandfathers and fathers-in-law. Many people make a special effort to visit their fathers or to send them a card or gifts. More information can be read here

Sunday 21st June 2026 (in the Northern Hemisphere) is the summer solstice. Yes it is the longest day of the year, meaning the day with the most hours of daylight. The picture above shows Stonehenge, long associated with the solstice, and you can read more about its history and story hereLovely for summer days - more details here

I wonder about the ice cream! I'll have to look at the recipe! Happy weekend sweet friend!
A happy day to you too, Jan.
Ooh, the low carb lemon ice cream looks tasty and refreshing, dear Jan!
Happy Summer Solstice!!
I see that we celebrate Fathers Day on the same day as you do in the UK although Mothers Day we don't. Interesting.
It's Father's Day here too. I'd love the lemon ice cream.
Tom said it all. Happy Father's Day from the U.S., too. And happy summer solstice to all in the northern hemisphere.
Happy Summer Solstice and Father's day.
